film + television + print: The 4000 Mile Journey To Save the Environment: The Quest of Colin Davis

Colin Davis, a senior physics major at Trinity College is undertaking a 4000 mile challenge in the name of our environment.

Davis is jumping on his bike and taking an illuminating cross country trek from San Francisco to Boston, stopping along the way to visit wind farms, solar power installations, green architecture firms, climate change researchers, sustainable communities, environmentally conscious universities, corporations and investment groups, organic farms, and green energy suppliers in 17 states.

Davis brings with a bicycle trailer full of camera gear to help capture the exhausting and mind expanding journey on film. The documentary, titled Ride to Sustain, is intending to provide an eye opening look into both the causes of our climate crises and the visionary individuals and business leaders taking a stand to create change.

Davis is blogging throughout the trip with help of Celsias.com and has launched a site titled after the film, Ride to Sustain, to provide ideas on sustainable energy. Check out both and support the "the Ride."
