art+architecture+design: Sustainable Furniture Spotlight

There are furniture designers who have married sometimes extraordinary talent to an environmental mindfulness by utilizing recycled materials. Above you will find some of the visionaries defining this sector of the design industry.

From top to bottom:

Homes Wilson:
Works designed utilizing recycled or sustainably harvested wood and cast concrete. These designs are zen inspired perfection.

William Stranger:
Specializes in furniture utilizing mostly found and salvaged wood. Stranger furniture combines unexpected fusions of design (as the desk above does, combining rustic with modern elements) to create uniquely elegant compositions.

Bart Bettencourt:
Beautiful clean design done sustainably (table above made with steel and bamboo). Simple clean lines married to beautiful sustainable materials - it is right from every perspective.

Ecowork brings sustainable design to the workplace, by designing office furniture that is sleek and made of 95% recycled and renewable materials. Thank God for EcoWork - making life in the cubicle more colorful, beautifully designed and healthy for the planet.
