film + television + print: Hamptons Film Festival is Getting Green

The 15th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival is set to begin just a few shorts weeks from now (October 17-21,2007). As usual the event promises to draw the who's who of Long Island's east end, as well as the usual mix of film industry mixed with a healthy dose of celebrity influx. This year, the festival adds green to its red carpet line up, by working with Greener Days (a local company providing environmental solutions for homes and business') for an environmentally focused series of presentations.

The festival will offer events, panels and an exhibition space in the Main Street tent, put together by Sara Gordon, from Greener Days, and one of Al Gore’s Climate Ambassadors will be showcasing sustainable living as well as offer education on how to participate in a greener lifestyle. Highlights include Vice President Gore’s presentation as well as a presentation on China from Tom Rousch of the NRDC.
