art + architecture + design:
Swedish Artist, Johan Jonsson Recreates Stolen Moments With Found Objects

"Laika"

"Words"

"Pastoral"

Swedish artist Johan Jonsson recreates poignant episodes of life from found scraps of fabric, leather, wire and various metal pieces combining them with clay and barbed wire to compose vignettes of life that are at times witty, sad and nostalgic. A one time writer, the artist brilliantly manages to weave short stories in each of his sculptural compositions.

The pieces seem delicate, and yet the effect is anything but. Johan Jonsson recreates familiar moments, from unwanted objects, leaving the viewer amazed, intrigued and connected by and to the work.
