Last month Chopra.com, the site named after the wellness guru Deepak Chopra and online home for the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, launched what it is calling the "Intention Blog Forum." The forum is making a call to global online community to post their positive and inspirational commitments to positive change in the world.
The idea is based on the notion that thoughts and ultimately intentions are what mobilize change, and making them public sets that change powerfully in motion. The forum is meant to drive transformation globally, for simple personal intentions like weight loss to universal intentions like global peace. Worldwide bloggers have jumped in on the effort from large cities to small villages in everywhere from India to Italy to Jerusalem and South Africa. Reading through the posts one can't help but be inspired to participate and list a few positive intentions on your own.
Although transformation is what everyone participating is seeking - the immediate benefit is a sense of linking to a growing community of individuals worldwide seeking to better themselves, and the world.
