Barberyn Beach Ayurveda Resort - The Sri Lankan Beachfront Oasis for the Soul

--fashion + travel + music--

On the southern tip of Sri Lanka, in a coastal village of Weligama, sits an Ayurvedic paradise offering luxury and spiritual healing at an affordable price. The resort is Barberyn Beach Ayurveda Resort, and the opportunity for guests is an authentic Ayurvedic healing experience and spa atmosphere, delivered to perfection thanks to a knowledgeable staff and extensive spa expertise from its sister site Barberyn Reef.

Each guest, upon arrival, receives a full consultation and diagnosis from a doctor applying a holistic analysis of ones condition. The treatment plan provides not only relaxation but a holistic revitalization accomplished through oil therapies, heat treatment, yoga and meditation as well as nutrition and various activities meant to create balance of the body and soul.

The site was opened in 2003 and designed by a team of three architects, including Turner Wickramasinghe, and Australian based Glen and Carol Smith of Glen Smith Associates. The result of the project is a minimalist oasis that honors the perfection of the natural environment through wide open spaces, clean lines and wherever possible the meeting of inside and outside spaces where the division of the two disappears.

The opportunity offered at the resort comes at an affordable price, from $120 to $200 per night, and special offers for summer travelers.
