The Hydraulic LH4 Lightning Hybrid:
Sleek Green Drive Hitting Streets in 2011

--science + technology + innovation--

The Lightning LH4, which just wowed audiences at the Denver Auto Show, might look like something made for Gotham City, but if the car maker hits its targets they hope to let you make it your for $39-$59,000 by 2011.

The car, which is available in a three (LH3) or four wheel version, can impress as an earth friendly 100 mpg and achieve a respectable 0-60 MPH in under 6 seconds.  The hydraulic wonder is a current contender for the $10 million dollar Automotive X prize in the 100mpg+ vehicle category. Many in the industry believe that the three wheel version will more likely hit streets first as it has fewer regulatory hoops through which to jump.
